Woodings Professional Cleaning (“we”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use this website or book a clean, how we use it, and your rights under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
What we collect
- Booking and enquiry details: your name, email address, phone number, the address of the property to be cleaned, the service and date you request, and any notes you give us.
- Payment information: deposits are taken by our payment provider, Stripe. We never see or store your full card details — we only receive confirmation that a payment was made.
- Website usage: basic technical information such as your IP address and browser type, and essential cookies needed for the website to work.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry, arrange and carry out your clean, and contact you about your booking (contract).
- To take and, where applicable, refund your deposit (contract).
- To keep records for accounting and tax purposes (legal obligation).
- To keep the website secure and working properly (legitimate interests).
We do not sell your information or use it for marketing without your consent.
Who we share it with
We only share your information with service providers who help us run the business, such as our website host, email provider and Stripe (for payments), and with trusted partners (for example oven or carpet cleaning specialists) when you ask us to arrange their service. They may only use it to provide that service.
How long we keep it
We keep booking records for up to 6 years to meet accounting requirements, then delete them. Enquiries that don’t lead to a booking are deleted within 12 months.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to ask for a copy of it. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
